A. Validity of Participation
1. Any person over the age of 18 who is resident in the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland and Scotland) may take part in this Promotion, excluding employees of the Promoter and companies involved and their immediate relatives, agents, third parties, or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.
2. Opening date for participation in the Promotion as described on the Promotion land page, accessed by scanning the promotion QR Code at Sainsbury’s participating stores, is from 00:01 on the 05/07/2023. Entries received after the closing date of 23:59 at 25/07/2023 will not be considered.
B. Way of Participation
1. To participate in the Promotion, scan the QR code in participating stores or navigate to https://www.jackdaniels.com/en-gb/jackdanielssainsburyscomp, fill out the form with their name, date of birth, e-mail address and agree to the terms and conditions and privacy notice and submit. Maximum one entry per person and one win per person.
2. The winner will be drawn randomly from all valid submissions after the closing date. The draw will be conducted by an independent, supervised individual.
3. Winners will be notified by email within seven business days of the draw. The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternate winner if an original winner has failed to prove of identity or age as being over 18, within 7 days of notification or if the winner is unable to accept or win the prize.
4. All winners are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. The Promoter is not responsible for submissions that have not been transmitted, whether due to delay, destruction or technical reasons. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt by the Promoter.
C. Prizes
The prize consists of a 5 days, 4 nights trip for the prize-winner and a guest (aged +18) to Singapore, including a race experience package for the race weekend (15-17 September 2023).
economy return flights from a UK airport departing from a UK airport on 14th of September 2023 and returning to the UK on 18th of September 2023 based on the nearest location to the prize winner and/or flight availability. For the sake of clarity, the winner is unable to designate their preferred airport of choice.
4 star hotel accommodation in Singapore to include breakfast for 4 nights. The hotel room will be based on 2 people sharing;
Return ground transfers from Singapore arrival airport to the hotel in Singapore.
The Promoter or its designated agency will book and pay for the prize as agent for the prize-winner and their guest, who agree to be bound by any terms imposed by third parties including, without limitation, any relevant tour operator.
The prize-winner and guest must hold valid passports with 6 months' validity remaining, and, if they do not already have one, must not require a pre-arranged visa in order to travel to Singapore. The prize-winner and guest must also comply with immigration requirements for entry into Singapore. In particular, neither prize winner nor guest may have a criminal record.
All travel-related administration is the responsibility of the prize-winner and guest.
All additional expenses including without limitation, spending money, travel to and from departure airport and insurance cover is the responsibility of the prize-winner.
D. Limitations
1. The Promoter reserves the right to modify or cancel this Promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control. In addition, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative, materially equivalent prize if the trip does not take place for reasons beyond the control of the Promoter.
2. Save for any liability incurred by the participant that cannot be limited by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any personal injury, death or expense incurred by the entrant in their participation in this Promotion and any prize which may result in their participation in this Promotion.
3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received or for undelivered or delayed entries, which were unable to be delivered or received for any reason beyond its control.
4. The prize must be taken on fixed dates specified. The Promoter reserves the right to select alternative winners, should the original winner and guest not validate all of their identity, age, ability to travel on the fixed trip dates and compliance with Singapore immigration criteria within 7 days of notification.
5. The prize is as stated and is not transferable, no cash alternative is available.
E. Consent and Data Protection
1. By participating in the Promotion, each winner acknowledges and consents that his / her name and image may be used in reasonable future publicity for marketing or promotional purposes without additional compensation.
2. Unless an entrant has indicated that he/she would like to receive communications from the Promoter in the future, his/her personal data will only be held for the purpose of administering the promotion and will not be retained once the prize draw has been concluded and each winner has received their prize.
3. The entrant acknowledges that Brown-Forman Corporation (BROWN-FORMAN) and other companies within the BROWN-FORMAN group (details of which are available on request) or BROWN-FORMAN's agents, partners or licensees, will handle their personal information, in accordance with the BROWN-FORMAN privacy policy https://legal.brown-forman.com/privacy-policy/english, for legitimate business purposes such as to provide them with personalized services and content, to analyze and consider ways of improving our services and products, and to respond to their requests. The entrants personal information may be transferred to any country where BROWN-FORMAN group companies or our service providers have facilities and personal information will be retained as permitted by applicable law. If in the future, the entrant does not wish to receive further communications from the BROWN-FORMAN group and would prefer to be removed from its database, or if the entrant wishes to make corrections to their details or change how you receive communications from us, please write to: [email protected]
G. Further points
1. Entrants are deemed to have read, understood and consented to these Terms and Conditions of participation by participating in the Promotion.
2. The Promotion and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and the courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction.
